Well, it rained all morning and poured all afternoon //2X
If I don’t find my baby
Know I’ll be drownin’ soon

You know the sky so dark, well, it looked like judgment day //2X
And if it brings him back
I’ll get on my knees and pray

Now it’s just rain on my window pain //2X

Bridge: I saw the lighting flash heard the thunder break
Rain keeps hammerin’ on my window pain
When my baby comes back the sun is gonna shine
And the storm clouds pass leavin’ blue sky

When the wind starts to blowin’, well, I thought I heard him call //2X
It’s just a hurricane howlin’
It weren’t my baby at all
